Profit and Purpose
Take a look at these resources that connect to the Conscious Capitalism tenets of purpose, leadership, stakeholder integration and culture. See what the CC approach to doing business can mean for you, your employer, your colleagues and your workplace. Companies on the CC journey are posting increased profits and finding meaning in their work because they consider why they do business and the impact they have on all stakeholders, not just what they do or how they do it. There isn’t a perfect state of Conscious Capitalism, but there are many ways to measure progress and learn from each other about what works. We hope these resources are helpful as you look to apply CC to your organization.
How a 100-Year Mindset Changes Everything
Rick Sapio, Founder & CEO of Mutual Capital Alliance, captivated 80-plus attendees at our January Conscious Capitalism Dallas event with the topic “How a 100-Year Mindset Changes Everything.” According to Rick, “purpose, priorities and values” shape your life and make for a 100-year mindset. As a follow up to his talk with Conscious Capitalism, he promised to share his Business Success Index (BSI) and “Reflecting and Creating” exercise (see links below).

SMU Students Available for Internships
CAP Program.pdfThe Career Accelerator Program (CAP) is an exclusive early career exploration and development program for our 1st-year BBA Scholars (a diverse group of some of the brightest students in the Cox School, with an average SAT/ACT of 1496/34 respectively, and a 3.5+ GPA). An integral part of the program is a “micro internship” or experiential project, which corporations and organizations have found to be of value in completing short projects and gleaning fresh ideas & perspective from students. Projects/internships can be in any area e.g., Marketing, Online Presence, Finance/Accounting, Strategy/Research, and don’t need to include monetary payment if part of this program. (There are no other fees associated with participating, either.) Most projects for this year’s program would take place in Summer 2022.
