Cassini Nazir, UX Designer + Facilitator
Cassini Nazir is a designer of conversations, curricula, and interfaces. He is an Assistant Professor in the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas, where he teaches classes in interaction design and user experience. His research explores how curiosity can be meaningfully infused into design processes. He was Designer-in-Residence for the Masters in Design and Innovation (MADI) program at Southern Methodist University and also taught at The University of Texas at Dallas for 10 years, where he directed the Arts and Technology Usability Lab and co-directed the ArtSciLab. He has worked with industry partners such as Toyota, Sam’s Club, Intuit, Sabre, DFW Airport, and projekt202.
Marissa Heyl, Neurodesigner + Anthropologist
Marissa Heyl, a CC Dallas membership committee member, is a design strategist and neurodesigner who builds environments of belonging for all to thrive at work. Her designs encourage everyday brain-healthy practices and democratize access to multidimensional health in the workplace. Named a Top Creative Entrepreneur in Dallas-Fort Worth, Marissa has been featured as a speaker and workshop facilitator for a range of organizations including Delta Airlines, the Center for Brain Health, TCU, and the U.S. Play Coalition. She is passionate about leveraging design for social change, having worked with underrepresented artisan partners for the past 15 years in her sustainable fashion and retail ventures. Marissa holds a certification in Design Thinking from global design firm IDEO and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a dual degree in Journalism and Anthropology.
Emi Matsushita, Intentional Movement Instructor
Emi Matsushita, a seasoned dance professional with over 27 years of global experience, is a dynamic force in the freelance artistry scene. Through her coaching business, she encourages all creatives in entrepreneurship, to fully embody their value. Emi founded the inclusive dance team, Drop Squad, and pursued an MFA in dance science at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, researching hip hop dance scenes. As a Creative Director & producer, she curates groundbreaking events like Bridges Festival and Mount Dora Movement Festival. As an educator and facilitator, including her role at the University of North Texas, she uses movement as a tool for healing & discourse to nurture embodiment in others.
