About Our Speaker
Michael Martin has a long-standing passion for renewable energy. This is his calling to high-impact, purpose-driven work. After 20+ years doing cool and valuable B2B stuff in the information technology sector, Michael began his solar career in 2010 as founder/EVP of utility solar company Principal Solar, who developed approximately 280 megawatts of projects valued at $500 million. Today, he directs his energy into serving commercial early solar adopters who are ready to lead with clean, affordable, reliable, resilient, on-site solar power in his home state of Texas. Michael has always been motivated to help companies adopt high-value solutions that enhance their positions as market and community leaders.
In parallel throughout his professional journey, Michael has been active, including board service and volunteering, serving a wide range of non-profits such as schools, social service agencies, cancer foundations and environmental groups. The father of four incredible young women, his life is only complete when it includes doing good work serving his community and when there is some fun involved! When not doing any of these things, Michael is likely on his road bike at White Rock Lake.

The 4 tenets of Conscious Capitalism - Higher Purpose, Conscious Leadership, Stakeholder Orientation, Conscious Culture - are well known and practiced and have not been expanded upon since Conscious Capitalism's inception in 2007. Let’s discuss how Sustainability might become the "5th dimension” of Conscious Capitalism as we seek to continuously improve how business works including truly considering all stakeholders and related impacts. To facilitate this, we’ll discuss the waste and pollution of commerce and the Healing Oath as espoused by Conscious Capitalism co-founder Raj Sisodia. Please join to participate by registering below.
